WHICH BIKE

Post by Dexter9 »

Can anyone offer me advice on which hybrid cycle to buy?
At the moment I'm looking at a Giant Roam 2 which are on offer at £430 (over £100 off).
Can anyone suggest anything different /better for around the same price?
I've even looked at a Carrera Subway 2 from Halfords which I can get at the cheap price if £315 which looks real good value cor money. But unfortunately Halfords staff didnt in still me with any confidence. They don't seem to know anything about the products they sell.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I just don't see the point of suspension forks on a hybrid so check out the Giant Escape range. I've had a Giant Escape 3 (non-disc) for a few years now and really rate it. It's still in the Giant line-up for 2019 and is currently reduced to £296.65.

I had a Subway, excellent bike. Dont rely on Halfords people and check everything over yourself. As R2 says Decathlon make great bikes too. Ortler from Bikester online seem to be great Gernan quality at very competitive prices too. They currently have a summer sale on.
