IIRC the 'silento' model is not made with anything other than a wire bead.

cheers

I was going to reiterate what Brucey said - all the models of Silento listed on Schwalbe's website are wired bead.

To show the difference here are 3 tyres

The outer one is a wired bead tyre folded by the twist method (Schwalbe Snow Stud), the other two inside are folding tyres (Vittoria Voyager Hyper & WTB Nano both with a Kevlar, or similar, bead).

One slight downside to the folding tyres is that they are a bit fiddly to install first time out of the box!

They're dead easy.
The trick is a few pumps of air into the inner tube first.
The inner tube then goes into the tyre to hold it in shape before you start to fit it.
You may then have to let a little air out to fit the second bead.

YMMV ......... :D

Thanks - also to Brucey.

Yet again Wiggle can't describe items on their web site correctly.

However I think I will keep the tyres to go on my Dawes Galaxy refurb if/when I finally get it back on the road.

Thanks Tigerbiten, I will try that next time.
