Had the police arrived and he hadn't been obviously restrained I reckon there's a pretty good chance they'd have shot him.
This after all is a place where the police famously shoot first and ask questions later.

Not just stupid, but a dangerous sociopath. I note that he's being charged with making a terrorism threat. Appropriate: after all what is "terrorism" but "spreading fear and terror amongst the general public". And what despicable timing! Hope they bang him up for a long stretch.

A stupid individual certainly, but IMO no more stupid than a society that thinks it appropriate to have a right to bear arms as part of their constitution.
