Looks sort of northern, Millstone Grit?
Entertainer, juvenile, curmudgeon, PoB, 30120
Cycling-of course, but it is far better on a Gillott

Not north of Harlech . From Ruabon to Morfa Mawddach prior to closeure that was all single track and across the viaduct to Pwllheli its all single track, as is the bit from the old junction towards Tywyn.
Percussive maintainance, if it don't fit, hit it with the hammer.

Isn't millstone grit a sandstone?
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

Yes it is. It’s a particular type of Carboniferous sandstone associated with the Pennines. Tends to be grey. The picture looks at this distance to be a lighter more erodible sandstone. Nottingham castle caves came to mind although I’m not saying that’s the picture.
Re: where is this?
What's that square thing floating above the ziggurat? It looks as though its function is to protect the stone finial (which is perhaps of some importance).

Think historical then look at the numbers

1355? The only events I can find are riots in Oxford and the Battle of Nesbit Moor (which I'd never heard of).

The reason I guessed Penderyn from the first clue was Porridge S1 Ep 5 was filmed around there (the Ronne Barker original). For 5 to 2 could it be diet related?
