Never seen Tim Martin in a Wetherspoons myself, he's done well for himself! +1
I only got a passport 4 years ago and I've been to some lovely places, last week in April's the best time to go cos I come back with very brown legs!

Hi there, Cash Only Now for me at Wetherspoons as no Receipts With Card Transactions! Make account Control with Plastic poor. Even with Non-Contactless Transactions very silly! makes bank account control very poor. Flat & Folding Only from now on. IGIB MM

If you use table service you get an receipt emailed to you. You can request a receipt at the bar if that's your sort of thing though!

There is a live thread with a lot of enthusiasm for a fast food store, McSoandso
One wonders whether such businesses should not be boycotted, or not?

A number of retailers want to email receipts now (Mountain Warehouse, WH Smith for example). I don't see why I should share my email address and be inundated with special offers.

I have been reading a thread where there are some people slagging it, sometimes with merit, sometimes not, and there are people who are saying it has its merits and uses to them as cyclists.

I'm enthusiastically boycotting Geoffrey Boycott because he deserves it

Sir G speaks plainly, sometimes too plainly, but he's not far of t'truth when he says that to be able to score runs you have to be in a state called 'in'

It's not possible to boycott something you don't use.

I reconcile our bank accounts. Always have done. Always know your balance and check on the bank transactions. I run spread sheets these days, but notebooks in the past. I have records going back to 1974 .......... only keep the older ones because it's fun looking at how cheap things used to be and how mortgages were so expensive.
Have you ever had a debit you didn't know about that wasn't yours? Did you query it with the bank?
Has your bank ever got its sums wrong in your favour or in their favour?
Yes to all three. Unless you reconcile your accounts, you will never know.

I was just thinking the same
Boycott is also the name of a harmless suburb of Droitwich Spa
