How does the LX compare with similar road hubs? If you have a frame that could take either, or are willing to respace, are any of them with considering as well?

I think Tiagra and Deore are pretty much the same hub...just in 130mm and 135mm variations...plus the branding of course. Suspect the spoke flange spacing is wider in the Deore version... (not checked this..)

The other difference is the length of the freewheel body. Shimano say the Tiagra hub is for 11-speed ROAD cassettes which means a spacer is required for 11-speed MTB cassettes and all other 8,9,10 speed cassettes, road or mtb. The shimano page mentions the spacer.

All in all, if your bike takes 135mm hubs, I would stick with the MTB versions. I have Deore FH-T610 and Deore LX FH-T670 hubs and they have been pretty solid in use, including the FH-T675 on my tandem
