Lidl cycling/other & Camping gear stuff

It's very strange how they keep changing good products. Cycling shoes were good (10? years ago) and have got worse since. They sponsor a cycling team, yet don't have cycling gear on sale during the Tour timetable

A few times at my local Lidl, the till operator just keeps a voucher under the table for valued customers who don't present one from the paper

and why they never sold a 2AA version like

and 2AA is much better if you use rechargable AAs (no need to worry about reverse charging).

5lux stated less, trust me not all lights are the same despite their apparent ratings, I'd rather have a better beam pattern that is tried and tested from one of the best and well respected manufacturers than some knock off that isn't

Exactly my point! Sigma are OK but no B+M, while Dansi have been making bicycle and motorcycle lights since the 1930s. Now I'm really not sure why you're recommending Sigma.

The Dansi beem seemed better than the 2AA Sigmas I have seen .
Which is why I was puzzled at the lack of a 2AA lidl front lamp given the similarity and identical brackets....

1) have a specification that they commission varying manufacturers to make
or
2) do they just get a manufacturer to brand one of their own lamps as Lidl?

lidl seem to have given up on battery lights now only supplying those lithium things ( good strategy as the litthium cells wear out sooner or later and cant be replaced, so need to buy another one)

Exactly my point! Sigma are OK but no B+M, while Dansi have been making bicycle and motorcycle lights since the 1930s. Now I'm really not sure why you're recommending Sigma.

Do B&M even make a AA battery light, afterall that was the query posed, which B&M light do you suggest to meet that criteria of having a 2xAA power source?
B&M do make some very good lights but dismissing another on the back of what, how long a company has been around Have you even used the latest Sigma lights? their light beam patterns are superb for the road, they have lights that are available across the range for all user types from the casual right up to offroad and at a good price level. Weatherproof, durable, well constructed, easy to use and both the external and internal battery systems give excellent run times for the beam output across the range.

The amount of light and beam pattern for the Aura25 is fantastic for the price, it's a simple but effective light that exceeds expectations compared to other lights in the price range. The initial query was posed with regards to a 2xAA battery system, so yes, I'd recommend the light for the casual user looking for something that you can see by in unlit conditions as well as a to be seen light.

Oh and can you give us some evidence on how long it will take for the rubber mount to fail, just so I can look out for it, say in 10 years time
