I'm appalled at my wife's lack of respect for this thread!
On the other hand, she has just given me permission to go for an afternoon's pootle tomorrow with the Winchester bunch

We've bought an EyeTV 250 Plus
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Elgato-EyeTV-Mo ... 888&sr=8-1
and it's fantastic. We can record TV, in analogue at the moment, and when we go digital, it's just the stroke of the mouse to change over. We can rewind up to an hour of live TV, schedule a recording, playback etc just like the DVD Hard Drive recorders do. All this in a package of about the size of a sardine tin. We have it plugged into our iMac in the living room. We dumped the old telly.
Why am I putting this on the Felicity Kendal page?
Because we can now record all our VHS videos onto computer! The Good Life tapes are now on our hard drive! Soon to be burnt onto DVDs.
Also, when I can get round to it, I'll dig out the Betamax machine from the loft, and all the tapes, some of which are GL too!

Smooth operator.
Jenny Hanley, so that's why my dad was so keen to watch Magpie, oh the innocence of youth.!!!
I stand and rejoice everytime I see a woman ride by on a wheel the picture of free, untrammeled womanhood. HG Wells
Jenny Hanley wasn't on Magpie, that was Susan Stranks.
oops, just Googled, you're right! JH took over later after SS.
I must've missed that!
