does any one know what year these were built the maroon one with silver head tube and half chrome forks and stays,also does any one know the full spec when new

My money would be on mid-late 80's, Weinmann centre-pull mid 80's, DC cantis late. May have things confused with the Royal.

My wife bought a ladies frame version like that in 1989. I suspect it may have been old stock as was on sale and had 27" wheels & 126mm rear spacing. At the same time I bought a Royal with 700c wheels, 130mm spacing & vertical drop-outs.
