Has anyone tried making porridge using a milky or watery protein drink?

i guess it would only need half the usually measure of powder (?)

Porridge made with a nut-milk rather than cow juice is rather pleasant. Almond milk seems to work best to complement the flavours.

I make it with water, salt, pepper and sugar, let it go cold, form it into balls and then take them to work with me. I do some very strange things?

I've made porridge with milk, milk/water, and variety of substitutes containing soya, hemp, almond, rice - but not yet coconut.

Most recently I've been using oat drink of various kinds, diluted 50/50 with water. This I like best of all, as it avoids dairy, and presumably enhances the effect of the porridge oats by boosting its claimed cholesterol-lowering effect.

My current favourite is an oat drink sold by Aldi, which claims to contain only oats and water, and is cheaper than all the alternative oat drinks.

Make my porridge with water and peanut butter, when cooked I add 2 scoops of choc protein. The protein works choc flavour is very good ( low carb version )

What is red milk please?

I think its ordinary cow's milk with all the fun, flavour and nutriment removed... it's a favourite with food factories, 'cos they get to keep all the good bits, which they promptly make into other processed food products to flog to the masses and still get to sell the remaining coloured water to someone else!

I can't find that question about "red milk".

Red in the UK usually means "skimmed milk" and is usually around 0.1% fat. I don't think that those are regulated terms, and it differs between countries.

Maybe they are confusing milk with diesel?
Neither of them being particularly good for you
