Simple reality is that other than perhaps calling ibriefly into a discount supoermarket somewhere, I shouldn't have any need to be in contact with other people. And while it'd be a nuisance getting a £30.00 fine, I'd still prefer to enjoy life rather than sit around waiting. End of the day the results are conclusive in showing that it's OAP's who are primarily affected by the virus, so it doesn't really have any relevance to me
Whilst primarily the elderly and those with pre existing health conditions are at greatest risk from this virus 1. These people's lives are no less valuable than yours. 2. It does infect and indeed kill people other than the elderly and those with existing health condition such as a number of doctors, nurses and other medical staff who have died as a result of contracting Covid 19.

1. Someone gives to a pensioner who dies. Brilliant. 2. The pensioner gives it to someone who is going and fit. They, too, might die. It does happen. 3. We pensioners are people and still contribute to society. We have spouses and children.
What a mean and selfish approach.

I can't see anything in the regulations that prevents you from touring now. It's exercise, so you're allowed out of the house. You will have to camp wild, obviously.

Why have you included me in this?
Apologies. A quirk of the quote facility. I have edited.

So, you are quite happy to enjoy your own selfish pleasures whist spreading infection and bugger all those OAPs who might die as a result?. This is the sort of selfish and stupid behaviour highlighted on TV drawing the attention of the Police.

What Al says - Though I don't think I could have put it so politely.
+1
Those OAP's could be your friends, family or neighbours
Convention? what's that then? Airnimal Chameleon touring, Orbit Pro hack, Orbit Photon audax, Focus Mares AX tour, Peugeot Carbon sportive, Owen Blower vintage race - all running Tulio's finest!

Hmm, no I'm a human, primarily interested in myself like most humans. The death of some elderly, previously diseased human hundreds of miles away from myself, is irrelevant in comparison with the fact that I wish to have a ride through the Dales.
End of the day the primary effect of this virus nonsense is in resulting in the closure of the gym, pool, library and the fact I've had to delay a ride over to the Lakes .

This is the person who said that Storm Dennis was of no consequence. So I assume he/she is just messing about. Some may have difficulty in finding it funny.

It's not funny, and must be trolling, as I don't think anyone who could write and log on to a forum could be that stupid, but unfortunately it has the effect of ruining an interesting thread.

A kid round the corner from me has severe asthma. You potentially taking the virus around threatens vulnerable people like that. You need to get over yourself.

I'm human, he writes. Inhuman was the description which came to me.
Perspective has been well and truly shot out of the window, by the majority of people I’ve met of late. As an expert from the university of Cambridge, who was just interviewed on today’s CV update from the BBC ( it’s on BBC 1 as I type) just said, in a typical year, seasonal influenza kills about 10000 people at this time of year, and that is a well known enemy, with a ( constantly modified ) vaccine available. This thing isn’t massively different yet ( at least in this country ) and given that this is a novel virus, with no vaccine, that speaks volumes. No one jumps up and down and runs around screaming about that. We will only be able to judge exactly how relatively bad ( or not ) this thing is / was when it’s deemed to have fizzled out / with hindsight.
Why does someone parade their noxious personal thoughts on a public forum? Does it come under the banner of trolling for attention? I'm human too, can anyone blame me for relishing the thought of poetic justice striking a certain someone?
