Hi there, Trick photos must be all the rage right now?
Image in Sat 27th Daily Telegraph shows a couple in beachwear walking through the throng inflated balloons to their faces, the man inhaling from it???
He might have been busy blowing it up, but I am suspicious about it?
Not like the caps making blow up dogs for children!
I am quite su about what they're up to, but maybe the experts on this Forum can offer an opinion? MM

As I thought! Walking around I keep finding hot-spots of "Cake Decorating", that being the reason that Nitrous Oxide Bulbs are still available for substance abuser use!

I shan't be going anywhere for quite a while.
There is a current view that we can all do whatever we want. Rules are there for personal interpretation. Just wait until the pubs open!
It’s not just caravans and campers coming over the border I sense a genuine wish we could close the border to all but essential movement. Recently I’ve heard people, who I thought were yoons, express those sentiments.
Even the BBC, who find it hard to say anything positive about Scotland, are reporting how close Scotland is to eliminating the virus.
Meanwhile the unionist press try to belittle NS for wearing a tartan face mask purchased where £2 goes to a homeless charity.

I have to agree. I stopped watching he Downing Street press conference after a week and instead switched to Nichola. She spoke with clarity and sense. I have since largely followed Scottish guidance. Of course I also ignore both and don't mix with anyone as I am both old and vulnerable. I am still acting like the first few weeks of lockdown save for the distance I cycle which is usually 15-40 miles. But I rarely cross the border out of respect to the locals.
Nichola wears a face mask. Johnson does press ups for the camera to prove his fitness. I know which is the clown.

Scotland being 3/5ths the size of England with 1/10th of the population will have as much (more?) to do with it as induvidual behaviour or likely policy. Do we believe that all people in Glasgow behave better than all people in Newcastle?

I think the evidence is that they don't. Drunken, selfish behaviour is the same whether in Glasgow, Newcastle, Bournemouth or London.
However, the good folk of Newcastle - and Northumberland - don't fear an invasion of Scots bringing rubbish and a virus, whereas the Scots fear - and with good cause based on both current evidence and past experience - an invasion from south of the Border.

A lad in military detention in a socialist country learnt the meaning of 'fast' food, there was little time to eat and the warders made the prisoners stand to attention for a while, then the food was cold when the order 'eat!' was issued
Often the prisoners were ordered to stop eating after ten minutes, so they learnt to stuff their gobs as quickly as possible

Forget all about the size of the country, sheep and trees don’t carry cv, let’s take your two examples Glasgow and Newcastle. Is there some blatant structural difference in the way the two cities are laid out? Is the housing density vastly different in these two cities? I can’t think of any myself but open to suggestions.
Take your last sentence change all for most then on evidence I might say yes. Especially as for a lot of the time Glasgow had a very high number of incidences.
As usual I still can’t find any similar breakdown for England and to date no one has directed me to a site. Always seems like England figures are buried within UK info.

According to Visit Scotland they're encouraging English visitors from 15th July.

Yes I mentioned that earlier. The businesses want visitors, people otherwise don't. I am receiving ads and emails from hotels, B and Bs and campsites, as well as SYHA and NTS, both of which I am a member of.
I guess no-one wants loutish behaviour. And, sadly, it is
rightly or wrongly all over Europe associated with the English.

And of course it works both ways. Aggravation or violence by football fans is usually easy to identify but the foreign press or people can attribute problems to 'the English' when they mean British.
In Germany, where l lived, the press were pretty good at distinguishing 'die Briten' from 'die Engländer', but blokes from Dumfries in a fight in Duisburg could either by locals or in the local press be described as English whereas blokes from Doncaster would never be wrongly identified as Scottish.
Re: Mc D's are back.
As a Northumbrian, people in the far north think I am English and folk from the far south think I am Scottish. In neither language am I a hooligan.

Aged about 12yo I was very impressed by a shopkeeper in the Trossachs. After hearing me speak he pinpointed us to Barnard Castle. We lived 5 ml from there at the time.
