The cameraman seems to be filling some gaps in traffic enforcement and helping to sell the Daily Mail, which will reach a lot more errant drivers than some officially posted tweets.

No, I didn't know who he was either. But then I remembered. Wasn't he married to Madonna at one time? But he has been a naughty boy and is now reaping what he sowed, so case closed as far as I am concerned. But I do wonder about the mental health of the vigilante (if that is the appropriate term) who seems to be spending a good chunk of his life on his mission. I wonder if he is angry all the time, which can't be a nice way to be.

The vigilante is maybe angry, also successful, and a role model

Being permanently angry isn't good for mental health.

There's a fair bit of CyclingMikey's actions online. I suggest listening to his tone and language and judging for yourself whether he's angry all the time.

..
Anger and hate are very appropriate here
Speculating again
My speculation: he is angry, active, motivated, has a lot of success, changing emotions and feelings
How may I 'like' or '+1' him?

Maybe he is very compartmented with his emotions and can leave the anger behind at the end of the day, but if I were living with such a high volume of confrontations, the confrontation would become me. I would live confrontation and anger 24 / 7.

Yes, perhaps. That's another job I would tend to take home with me rather than leaving it at the workplace.

But we don't know if he's permanently angry or if he has a strong motivation from past experience for reporting errant motorists.
The media, and the DM in particular take high delight in painting pictures of cyclists which bear little resemblence to the truth, just to stoke up anticyling anger.
That said I'd rather there be a permanently angry person on a bike reporting motorist crime than someone permanently angry driving a car who dislikes, even(strong word alert)hates cyclists

The last sentence is about what use he is for us, but I'm thinking more about what it is like for him. Yes, he may not be angry all the time, but I think that is unlikely given the high volume of incidents he reports. It sounds like it occupies a good chunk of his waking day, and he must be either super-human or very stressed with so much confrontation. It doesn't sound like a recipe for happiness and contentment. If I knew him and cared about him I would be worried about what this is doing to him.
