I have recently moved to Durham from Bucks. I believe that there isn’t a Cycling UK group in Durham however I am keen to meet up with other cyclists for rides. Please contact me if you can help.
(I live in Langley Park).
County Durham cyclists
Re: County Durham cyclists
Stephen - there is an active cycling uk section that meets in Ponteland - that's the nearest one that I'm aware of. Also if you use Faceache, a group on there called 'cycling around the North East'. And another based at the cycle cafe / workshop in Swalwell called Pedalling Squares.
I live in County Durham and have 30+ years experience of local routes so you're welcome to pm me if you want to arrange some rides to explore soem of my favourite routes.

Re: County Durham cyclists
Hi “Campag” . Thankyou very much for responding to my original message. Ponteland is a long way to go but I will look up the Swalwell group you mentioned. Also thanks for your offer. Perhaps we could have chat to see what is possible. Don’t know if is etiquette to share phone numbers on this forum?
Regards Stephen
Ps I do have Camagnolo gears on my road bike.

Re: County Durham cyclists
pm me -for contact with active ctc member at Lanchester.
He has agreed that I can forward his number.
Graham is 67, perhaps fair to say he is a mountaineer with a bike.
Pleasant, interesting man--"just along the line"

Re: County Durham cyclists
Depends where abouts you are in Co. Durham?
Nothing based up here in the Dales, although masses of regional cyclists come here.
Darlington CC have a CUk affiliated section I think. They certainly do CTC-type rides.
Teeside?
