My bike is worn out and I need a new one.

I've suspected this for some time, nice to have it confirmed officially.

you should get done for trades description act as seems like just the wheels
atleast you aint getting any cracking around the eyelets, that happend to my Mavicrap rims.

I replaced mine with Exal rims from Ebay, using the sound hubs for the total of £26 incl spokes then built mine up, still sound after 2 years and being battered on London Roads and off road paths

You have lost me with this one. Your top pic would be an excellent illustration for a reply to one of the threads asking about rim wear indicators, but your caption has me baffled.

It certainly looks as though you have earned some new rims.

Your lucky after 60+ years of cycling my body is worn out, and no chance of a new one.

Ugly, never despair:

Medical science improves every year - the difficulty may lay in selecting a role model. Schwartzenburger? Greipel? Voekler? Froome? Johnson? Or you may fancy a change, and opt for Clare Balding.

The last one WOULD be brave of you!

Happy days,

One:
The rims are black.

Two:
The spokes are black

Three:
Irrespective of anything being worn, they all need replacing.

Depends on whether the whole frame is chromed surely ;)
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

Please be assured that the rim in the picture is only partially black. Both the braking track and internal surfaces are silver. You may also gain some comfort from the fact that the front rim is silver(ish).

The spokes are stainless and are indeed silver. A grimy, mucky sort of silver but silver(ish) nevertheless.

Given the thread title I can hardly argue against that point. Current budgetary constraints mean that the wheel has been taken out of service and replaced with another from the back of the garage. You will be relieved to hear that it is silver(ish).

Whilst this reply is of course completely accurate ...

This is more like the advice I wanted to hear  .

A pair of Sputniks has been ordered.
