His passing can't go without a mention, a truly inspirational musician the likes of which we'll see no more:- https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-53541579

Hi, Black Magic Woman regularly runs through my head whilst riding! Great musician, very individual as a person. R.I.P. the Man of the World. MM

Truly,a man of the world who is the equal of Clapton, and with integrity to spare, unlike the plagarist who played for Fred Heppelin.

My favourite of his, 'The Supernatural' with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, chillingly fantastic.

the original Fleetwood Mac were something very very special - this was the band who showed me there was something far far more interesting out there than the main stream music that I was supposed to like.

and even a lyric I could use in a sig line

I don't say I'm a good man
Oh, but I would be if I could

One of the first singles I ever bought was "Need your love, so bad".

It's got to be one of the finest blues songs ever written (and played).

Ah well,
or as Mick put it, Oh Well.

I must say having listened to the clip, I prefer Peter G's rendition.

The song was called Oh Well.

Can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I aint pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to
Oh well
Now when I talk to God
I know he understands
He said "stick by me and I'll be your guiding hand"
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to
Oh well

Wasn't that the "mellow" side?
