Garmin Edge 200 error

I have tried all the work arounds I know of when this happens but I can't seem to fix is this time -

Trying to upload some new routes and it states there is not enough disk space (which according to the 'info' on the device there isn't)

I run a MACbook PRO version 10.14.06

I have tried factory reset on the device, manually deleting all saved rides/files, resets all round and yet I am still unable to load any new routes due to memory error.

I have done some digging online to only find the above solutions - please help

Are you using Garmin Express or mounting the device as a volume and dragging/copying files in the Finder?

Is that a message on the Garmin or from the Mac? How much space does the Garmin say it has, and how much does the Finder say?

Have you tried it on a different computer?

On the mac - I am not sure how to find out how to find out the space on the Garmin? but the finder says less than 200kb

I can try a windows PC this afternoon via a loan

If you have been deleting files on the Garmin using the Mac the files still sit on the Garmin taking up space, but are hidden from view as they are in the Bin.

Reconnect you Garmin and empty the bin and see if it frees up space.

Yes, unless you empty the trash when the Garmin is connected, the files are still in there.

Connect up, and look in the trash bin to see.

I've owned it 5+ years maybe even 8? And it's very very well used
