Has anybody any experience of these electric bikes on ebay ? They seem to come from Lithuania for £1370 available here https://bit.ly/3g2NMld

Not sure what to to think really - a lot of money if it is wrong - any views ?

I'd be slightly wary. It's tricky to resolve problems across a continent, even if the seller is genuine and contientious (which they seem to be - 10 years on eBay, 100% positive feedback). It's going to be a royal pain if there's a problem, especially if it gets damaged en route - i.e. a 3rd party gets involved.

If it was a trading company, I think it would be less risky, but it's a private sale.

I'd hang on for one on eBay UK instead, and do the usual checks:
- size?
- purchase details (i.e. how old is it?)
- how many miles covered? (Orbea and Boardman tell you in their apps - not sure about other makes)
- is it complete, inc charger & battery key/lock?
- does it work, gears & brakes all behave as expected?
- any damage or problems? Odd noises? Wear & tear?
- straight wheels?
- why are you selling?

The same bike on the Prophete website was much reduced to not a whole lot more than the one you’re looking at.
Possibly a discontinued model? Might be issues with spares down the line!
Some of their other bikes look good if that’s what you are after and could be shipped to the UK but as previous poster said, buying from abroad could be problematic.
