Hi
Just wondering if there's an easy guide to updating the Open Street Map with surfaces and blockages.
There's a few issues near my house that I would like to clear up.

Re: Updating OpenStreetMap
There is a wiki https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Beginners%27_guide
and a forum https://forum.openstreetmap.org/
The Wiki isn't isn't the most intuitive, but the information is all there, and reasonably useable. Also, it has links to other resources. The forum is hard to find stuff on because of users from all over the world. You need to remember to select the UK, US, Canada, etc. to get search answers in English, and even then folks aren't too good about appropriate titles. So, I recommend trying the Wiki, and if you need more, post a question on the forum.

Also, when you click "Edit", (after registering and logging in), the editor does offer you a walkthrough.
If you can say what sort of problems you are thinking of mapping, someone here may be able to offer suggestions of how to do it and, if it helps, I can add it to the wiki pages about mapping cycle routes, which start at https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Cycle_routes

Talking of edits to OSM! See here, the 212-storey apartment block, spotted in the new MS Flight Simulator.
