Looks like you hands gave become quite tough with the need to hold the handlebars for long periods of time.

My feet behave in much the same way during marathon training. You get hard skin around the sole and tips of toes which goes after about a month. Usually with a couple of toe nails falling off!!!

Post LEJOG shedding...does this happen to everyone??

Blimey, that's not good. Have done 3 week motorbike hols, you hold on much tighter on a motorbike as you have to hold the throttle.

Worse I would get were calluses just were my fingers start. That would be with 21 todays of 7 hours riding too.

Yep, both paws. My wife is walking round the house making sucking sounds going "I'm not an animal, I'm a human being".

Doing it now, currently sat in a pub in Edinburgh! Have used the route as a template. Was going to post about how I got on afterwards. Also I’m camping, have found some sites that offer semi wild camping, very good one at Druridge Bay, and that coastline is stunning. Haven’t booked any sites, just turning up, no problems so far

Thank you. I am awaiting major surgery at present - scheduled on the 24th. Should I have the good fortune to emerge reasonably healthy I had wondered about this next year. It appears to be longer but a bit easier. Plus I could stop off for a few days rest at home near Berwick en route.
