Best budget repair stand?
I was looking for recommendations for a budget repair stand which I would be using for basic bike maintenance.
I was thinking about going for the Decathlon one which is about £60.
Are there any other ones you would recommend at a similar price range?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Best budget repair stand?
Aldi bike bits sale starts a week on Sunday. Generally a cheap stand is included in these sales. The Decathlon one looks sturdy enough for the money so does the Lifeline one on Wiggle.
Re: Best budget repair stand?
I picked up a stand from Planet X over 20 yrs ago and it is still going strong, even mounting 60 lb ebikes on it
I wish it were as easy as riding a bike

I've got a brand new , boxed Aldi one .... £20 + p&p or collection /delivery

I have the same Raleigh stand as Jdsk links in this post - except mine is branded Bike Hand, I've also seen the exact same stand with other branding, including in either Aldi or Lidl at one time. They are a good stand for the price, I've had it about 12 years and it's always been fine. I prefer the two feet design to the tripod stand style, there's less to trip over and if you're working in a small space it can go against the wall.

Really good stable stand.
Paid £20 at start of lockdown now a third more!!
Looks same as wiggle one tbh.

And now on "sale" at Merlin... €114,50.

Can anyone find it going cheaper?

I'm not 100% sure if it's the same one Wiggle sell as Lifeline, if not it's very similar. That's £90 with a free mat!

But it's currently on sale at PX for £80, what did you pay?

Looks the same to me, and that's the lowest price that I can find.
I've had mine so long that I've forgotten what it cost!

looks the same as the Lidl one also - last year it was £25..... who knows when they will sell it again
Re: Best budget repair stand?
It does, and the one I bought at Lidl works OK. But I prefer mine, as earlier in the thread.

Re: Best budget repair stand?
I've always rated the Tacx T3000 - have had a couple.
It's simple and robust, folds up quickly and holds the Bottom bracket/down tube, not the top tube, which stops the bike swinging around when pedalling/working on the bottom half of the bike.
Also gets the bike up higher than a typical stand clamping the top tube, which makes it easier to work on the transmission etc.
