tiagra jockey wheels

Post by nick1854 »

I am looking to replace the jockey wheels on my very worn Tiagra rear derailleur. It is an RD 4601 medium cage 10 speed. Will the ones advertised for Tiagra fit? I think there are some Tiagra parts that are not interchangeable and don't want to end up swearing as I discover I have the wrong parts. I have done the google thing but my brain now hurts from looking at pictures of derailleurs. Thanks.

Are they the 11 tooth ones?

They don't have to be by Shimano. I find these work well:

Just select the Shimano 10 speed option.

I've used Tacx idlers. They work well.

pn Y5XH98120 fits Tiagra RD-4600
and
pn Y5RF98070 fits Tiagra RD-4700

Both are 10s, 11T pulley sets which mount using the same bolts, so ought to interchange OK.

cheers

Many thanks for the help. I suspected the 4700 wheels would fit. I can get on and order some ready to overall everything.
