autumnal, early winter and spring gloves?

Tried all sorts over the years. Unless it's slashing down the best is either knitted things, wool is nice but fragile, or cheap fleece. I get a couple of winters out of Sunday market specials for a fiver. When its colder I move to pile lined leather work gloves, Venitex FBF 15 from eBay. They keep most rain out and proof up nicely. Snow Shepherd do posh versions.

I've bought myself a pair of Madison isoler Merino blend gloves on sale for 9 quid at tredz. Full review in a few weeks but this morning they were just right, kept the chill off but not too sweaty.

Posh cycling ones are nice but i usually default to either cheap f
fleece gloves over my usual track mitts or Venitex pile lined work gloves from ebay. The latter are a hidden gem. Snow shepheard make a posh version havi g cut their teeth on Venitex.

I picked up a pair of these to slip on when working on my bikes. Good grip. I went for a ride today and couldn’t find my regular gloves, so put these on. A fair bit of rain but they weren’t saturated and dried out fine. Hands weren’t too hot. Very comfortable. Worth a punt?

I think I’ve seen them in B&Q too.

seems odd but then you see a fair few bits of clothing that say "hand wash" but seem OK in any washing machine built after 1970.
Never figured out what that's all about.
Some sort of legalese cop-out along the lines of "don't blame us if they fall apart"?

Manual handling gloves. Been using them since the 70s
I use them from about now until it’s sub zero. Normally buy from a DIY shop, quality and thickness has dropped over the years slightly.

Well, my wife used them in the garden, got them filthy and put them in the washing machine. They’re still alive.

Wore them again on a longer ride at the weekend. No padding, obviously, but my bars are double wrapped. 6°C and perfectly comfortable. I wouldn’t make a special trip to Screwfix, but I’ll get try to get a couple of extra pairs next time I’m there.
