Re: Suspension

I rode a Muddyfox with no suspension for years .Then when I got a bike with a whole 25mm of front fork travel it felt amazing, I felt like I could steer the bike exactly where I wanted even on rocky terrain.
Yesterday I felt like the 120mm of travel on my present bike wasn't quite enough. Yet I know that the cost of getting extra travel will in no way be justified by the small amount of movement that I will gain.
You can chase the ideal for all of your riding career but it will never satisfy, it all comes at the cost of something else - either extra weight or a great long wheel base monster that doesn't offer itself lightly to being humped over styles or rocks. Choose carefully.
