Fitting a bike computer to a tadpole (not delta) trike
Not using garmins (no £££s), so how to I fit a wired computer to my trike?

If I had a baby elephant, I would put it on a recumbent trike so that it would become invisible.

What makes it different from a bike for this? No forks at the rear? How about using the front wheel?

As daft as it may sound the "easiest" way is to splice in a new length of wire.
Even thou you really need to solder and heat shrink wrap the joints.
That way you're not limited as to where to can place the sensor or display.
Luck .........

Well, delta trike so no forks. Fitting it on the rear wheel is an issue as the magnet is not close enough to the sensor to be read.
I could possibly attach the sensor to the mudguard.

Please could you add a photo of the front end? Or tell us what model it is?belgiangoth wrote: ↑17 May 2022, 9:59pmWell, delta trike so no forks. Fitting it on the rear wheel is an issue as the magnet is not close enough to the sensor to be read.

The first picture on this page here -> https://www.icetrikes.co/products/acces ... ght-mounts clearly shows how ICE do it for their trikes.
You either need to buy or make a part to do the same thing for you're trike.
Hope that helps .......

Both my catrikes had sensor mounts by a front wheel.
Re: Fitting a bike computer to a tadpole (not delta) trike
I placed the sensor on the rear forks, using a bit of tubing cable tied to the chainstay to get the sensor close enough to read the magnet on the wheel. Been working fine for 16 years!
