Saw the first a few weeks back and it’s still there. So lovely to see this morning that they haven’t been stolen, defaced, damaged by the general public or removed by the Post Office on the grounds of health and safety, or some other corporate tosh.
The older I get the more I’m inclined to act my shoe size, not my age.

rosehip syrup
I'd forgotten all about that. And there was some other stuff that got thrust at me on a spoon, back then, which was much nicer than the aforementioned cod liver oil - forgotten what it was called but it was brown and sweet and malty - any ideas?
The malty, brown, sticky stuff was called Virol. We got it as 1950s kids to help us grow up big and strong. I progressed to Marmite as an adult and have now regressed to taking Marmite and peanut butter sandwiches when I'm cycling.

Marmite and peanut butter
Great combination - often have them on two slices of toast but never on the same!

Just had peanut butter and marmite, both spread on a slice of home made superseeded bread we made last night. Beezer! After 50 km bike ride in the sun and cold wind.

I dimly recall making a toastie once with (from the bottom) Marmite, cheeder cheese, peanut butter, pilchards, topped with sliced tomatoes and with a fried egg on top...

No thank you.

I'm a good boy - I always get what I deserve :)

But no, I've never been brave enough to put myself in the "firing line" so-to-speak of any public protest. How about you?
