Editing posts

Post by NATURAL ANKLING »

Hi,
When you edit the post I sometimes highlight what I've edited, or I make some vain attempt anyway :P

Is there a way where the software could automatically highlight what's been edited?
As I sometimes read posts, I swear that it didn't look like that the last time I read it I'm talking about reading other peoples posts.

I realise I'm being a bit finicky here.

Showing the differences between the original post and the edited version could end up being messy to view. It might also be unwanted, if someone was deleting something they decided they didn't want others to see.

The most useful way would be to keep copies of both, and allow the visitor to toggle the display between "show differences" and "as edited". But phpBB doesn't store revisions to posts, just the current revision.
