Please can anyone help me identify a particular tricycle back brake? I've not come across this type of brake and am trying to find out where I can find parts for it should it brake. Any help with this would be greatly welcomed.

It's a band brake. Often fitted to kids bikes. I may have a spare in my parts box.

What RJB said.
That all looks to be in very good order so
I wouldn't worry about it too much.
If it ain't broke don't fix it

Re: Please can anyone help me identify a particular tricycle back brake?
I was going to say it looks like a Primax band on brake (googling this gets a surprisingly eclectic variety of results). However, yours has 4 round holes, Primax has 2 round holes. One of the photos on my google search had an "Artek" band on brake with 4 holes.
As far as I know, the holes are for engagement to unscrew the brake from the hub (or in your case axle).
As others have said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Thank-you for your help. Wonder how many other exotic brake types I'll encounter.
