Second row from top third from the right. Which coincidentally is close to the same place as your 10 yo photo.
At 11 you’ve become too old to stand with Margaret and Catherine.
Whatever I am, wherever I am, this is me. This is my life

Isn't it wonderful to be known eh? :D
Well remembered!

I bet you haven't seen this one from North Wales in the early 50s of me.
I was born there.

What, you were born on the mountainside? I'm sure Ysbyty Gwynedd would have taken you in. :o

I think that it was the Carnarvonshire and Anglesey Hospital in Upper Bangor in those days
If you were carless in Bangor it was a good deal easier to get to.
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

Thank you all.
I can now go out and ride by another of the set. Need not have moved down to Cornwall, still there have been some interesting bits in the last eight years. The postcard shown in our local paper was neither of those above.
All that now remains is to find out why the drawing/mat was entitled Deviock. It is not exactly well known, on the other hand Patterson did produce a lot of drawings of pub interiors. That last is of course pure conjecture.
The only other mistake I have heard of was that he drew a number of home interiors for Heals of the Tottenham Court Road and Mr Heal had to point out that his rooms all had four sides.

I remember reading somewhere that Frank Patterson drew a lot of his cycling drawings from photos and postcards, so there was lots of scope for poetic licence.

This is confirmed by an article about him on the CyclingUK website, which also mentions that he often got place names wrong.

Thanks.
That explains a great deal!

As for my photo on me in Wales, it was at Gwyfryn, from our back garden.
Cottage was - and still is - called Trevose ................... and it was many yonks before I knew that Trevose is in Cornwall! :D
