Edward VIII post boxes.

Post by Mike Sales »

According to Look North tonight there are a few Edward the Abdicator post boxes in Bridlington.
For collectors these must be the Penny Black of slots. Any spotted?

Isn't it a blooming shame?

There used to be one near to my parents house, but about 30 years ago it disappeared to be replaced by a liz the second one.
Maybe the post office sold it off?

Ta, both.
The P.O. must have been quick off the mark. Were they secretly preparing under the previous monarch, one wonders?
