York Rally 2023: 23-25 June

Post by bikepete »

After a well-earned break, our all-volunteer team is starting to plan for the 2023 York Rally!

We have provisional dates (23-25 June 2023) but we urgently need new volunteers for our organising team, to help fill vital roles which keep the Rally running...

We'll be having our first planning meeting on the 10th September 2022, so if you can play a part in keeping the Rally alive long term, please do get in touch, ideally before then.

See here on the York Rally website for more details.

Also, as mentioned there, please do send along any photos or videos you may have from the 2022 York Rally, for us to use in future publicity... it is very much appreciated!

Finally, in case you missed it or don't know the York Rally, check out our sub-two-minute slideshow from the 2022 event:

York Cycle Rally 2023: Going ahead and campsite bookings now open

We're delighted to confirm that the 2023 York Rally is going ahead on the 23-25 June next year - and that campsite bookings are now open!

Huge thanks to the two new volunteers who have joined the organising team following recent appeals for help. But we're still far too stretched - if another two people could come forward please that would be perfect. Read more here.

Meanwhile, campsite bookings are now open, with super-earlybird prices until the end of the year. Book your pitch now!

Yes, bookings are stil open: https://yorkrally.org/visitor-informati ... -bookings/. You get cheaper prices if you book in advance, but you can also just turn up on the day if you want. There is no risk that the event will run out of space for campers.

Yes, you do need to bring your own tent (and sleeping bag etc.) if you want to camp. Or you can bring a car, caravan or motorhome instead if you want. Or you can find other accommodation in York.

There's under a month to go until the York Cycle Rally 2023 kicks off
- and in just three weeks from today, the first volunteers will be on the Knavesmire to start the set-up!

We can't wait to see everyone there - meanwhile check out our latest updates here: https://yorkrally.org/2023/05/31/under-a-month-to-go/ and note that if you want to book a campsite pitch in advance (for slightly lower prices, and to be siuted with friends or club-mates) the booking deadline is 16th June!

Book your campsite pitch here: https://yorkrally.org/visitor-informati ... -bookings/

Here's to another great Rally coming up very soon!

We can't wait to get to the York Cycle Rally 2023 next weekend, but until then it's all systems go for our volunteer team to get everything finalised.

Check out our latest update for news of:

- Final call for advance campsite bookings: do it by Friday (16th) or you'll have to book in on the day. We won't run out of space, but it's a bit cheaper in advance, and we can site you with friends or club-mates. https://yorkrally.org/visitor-informati ... -bookings/

- Talks, music, trade show and rides schedules all finalised...

- and the show programme off to print!

Many thanks to John Jackson for the great campsite photo, from 2018. We'll be back there shortly!

Please do help out by volunteering during the event if you can, and we're also looking for at least two new people to join the organising team and help shape the future of the Rally.
