Cable stops for chain-stays and seat-stays

Post by crg »

Hi

Are these available?
One bike has rectangular stays and the other has oval stays.

Thanks

Yes - look up Sturmey-Archer fulcrum clips. They are two-piece, the clip and the insert (plastic these days, cast steel on older ones). You don't use a ferrule.

Bolt on chainstay cable stops used to be very common but were designed for standard size chainstays (when standard sizes still existed). This is the sort of thing https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334612917890 ... UnEALw_wcB
You might be able to adapt them for you needs.

Campagnolo made a lovely chrome steel cable stop, there are still a number of them, even new available on eBay.
