Off to west coast of Ireland at the end of April. Hopefully Norway in the summer, and I'd really like to do the Picos in September, but we'll see.

I did that a few years ago, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. :)

Gosh, yes .... lots of trips, much more ambitious than mine .... but here goes.

On Saturday, I went on the first post-white-out Cycling Club 11 mile ride, during which I found about a 35/65/100 miles 'figure-of-eight' taking place in June.

Discovered that the first 22 mile training ride was the very next day. Did that. Doing the same ride a bit later on today with a cycling buddy and her new Garmin!

Working up to the 65 miles training ride and I shall then take a decision about whether to go for the 100 miles.

I'm feeling very fired up about this. And thinking about buying myself a new (much more suitable) bike. My Club leader tells me that I deserve it! 8)

Best wishes to all and good luck with plans - big and small!

Mac, hi.

I think I know in my heart that what you say is true, I just haven't said it out loud yet. (That's the bit which makes me a bit nervous!)

Thanks for the encouragement.

I do feel like it's an unmissable opportunity as the organisers are practically writing my training program .... and doing it with me!!

It doesn't get much better than that.

I've been havering for a while over different choices, but have just about settled for a short, simple run from Munich to Budapest in July.

We´re planning on moving to Norway :) This makes it a bit difficult to make plans for long cycle tours this summer. If we don´t move, then probably another bit of the NSCR: it would be nice to bag the German and Scottish sections this year.
I think this also might be the year to get Rohloffs fitted into our Bromptons, something we have been considering for some time.
Cheers

We ended up doing the same ride yesterday with the technology! It's 25.17 miles. We had taken 5 hours to do this on Sunday with two very new riders. Yesterday, we did it in 2hrs 59mins!!

I am still buzzing with the excitement of the achievement.

And today I went out with the Cycling Club and rattled off 13 miles ... just like that!

Hello everyone

Fly to Faro in the summer, and spend 1 month cycling my way back towards St Malo. If I have to do the last bit by train - no matter.

I have a lovely new Ridgeback Panorama for the job

7 day LEJOG in June-ish, then home for a couple of weeks, then I'm considering doing Glasgow to Barcelona, just with a tent, no plans, no bookings, no ties, just freedom to go wherever I want.

Doing my third Benidorm trip, its an odd number 2009, lets hope my memory is still good, as
it was in 2007 and in 2005, Valencia see you around 1st or 2nd of June and you have those road
signs sorted, what a mess of a place, Sorry Barcelona not coming back your way this year,
turning north at Reus, trying my luck via Berga and La Molina, regards Fred
