UK bikes should have a 135 degree noodle at the front. A 90 degree noodle can put a kink in the outer.
Just wanted to highlight this as, AIUI, there are various types and angles of noodle available, including (IIRC) a flexible one. Because the noodle appears to be a standard part, people may not be aware of that.

I'd like to third this point! Not only can it kink the outer, but a 90° noodle on the front brake UK will hoik upwards when the brake is applied, spreading the cradle and bending it apart over time.

If it's not been too severely bent It is possible to carefully reform the cradle and carry on using the brake. Put the flats of an 8mm allen key into the cradle near where it pivots on the brake arm and then reform the cradle with a pair of pliers. The 8mm spacing prevents the pivot from stiffening and binding during the process.
