the undiscussable

Unipannierists.
They should be banished from the face of the Earth.

Re: the undiscussable
I use a Carradice Super C shopper in black duck, twinned with a Carradura pannier in grey with red trim.
Is this offensive to anyone? If so I don't care.
I am pleased with the Clikfix clips.

Isn't it a blooming shame?

Loud gear changing clicks! Why do he more expensive bikes and groupsets seem to be really loud? Is it because the brands are satisfying their customer's need to be noticed?

Just one! Probably on the wrong side!! And it's a front pannier on the rear!!! I may now turn it upside down to become the fully unacceptable-unipannierist. Cugel, also thinking of putting a saddle bag on the handlebars.

There are topics to just steer clear of. The Mod’s are, I think, quite tolerant folk but it’s some members that are the problem: some people are both totally unable to accommodate views not matching their own and are somewhat belligerent.sussex cyclist wrote: ↑8 Dec 2022, 9:33am Is there anything you'd like to discuss, but don't, either because you're afraid you'll offend too many people, or bring down the wrath of mod?
Don’t fret, it’s OK to: ride a simple old bike; ride slowly, walk, rest and admire the view; ride off-road; ride in your raincoat; ride by yourself; ride in the dark; and ride one hundred yards or one hundred miles. Your bike and your choices to suit you.

Reuse, recycle, thus do your bit to save the planet.... Get stuff at auctions, Dump, Charity Shops, Facebook Marketplace, Ebay, Car Boots. Choose an Old House, and a Banger ..... And cycle as often as you can......

Yes it's on the wrong side: you have the weight of the chainset and gears on the R, so put your pannier on the LCugel wrote: ↑8 Dec 2022, 9:49pmJust one! Probably on the wrong side!! But then I put a bar bag on the saddle of my bamboo bike, so who am I to dictate? ☺
Re: the undiscussable
Well, you know what I can't abide? Rucksackers! Don't they understand anything about the necessary lowering of the centre of gravity of a rider-bike? But worserer are the riders with plastic shopping bags dangling from their handlebars, especially when these bags are of different colours and sizes. I catch them up and give them my 38 minute lecture about the matter. I think it persuades them.tenbikes wrote: ↑9 Dec 2022, 9:42amYes it's on the wrong side: you have the weight of the chainset and gears on the R, so put your pannier on the LCugel wrote: ↑8 Dec 2022, 9:49pmJust one! Thread drift. You start off reading about squeaky brakes, hop to the end to add your contribution and find that the 47 pages in between (added since yesterday) have wandered off-subject and now concern the best way of worming pregnant ferrets.
