Every four years the grandparent of long distance cycling, Paris Brest Paris takes place. Predating the Tour de France, the 1,200 km ride is an iconic fixture in the cycling terms - it event has its own cake!
To take part, you need to have completed Audax rides or 200, 300, 400 and 600km over the spring of next year.
It would be brilliant to hear people's experiences of this amazing event.

Re: 2023 - Paris Brest Paris year
I am seriously considering this, though my mileage has been low since COVID started, I'm pretty confident I can ratchet it up again in time for next spring.
Re: 2023 - Paris Brest Paris year
I should clarify that work pressures, on account of covid (not illness nor restrictions) have hammered my cycling efforts

Re: 2023 - Paris Brest Paris year
The heat over here has done the same for me: >90F since April.

BTW; I'm sure you know that unlike the LEL, PBP requires qualifying rides of 200,300,400,600 in the year of the event.

Evenin' all.
2023 UK qualifiers can be found at www.audax.uk
International ones are at https://www.audax-club-parisien.com/en/ ... brm-world/
A BRM ridden in 2022 will count as a pre-qualifier, allowing you to enter earlier (when exactly depends on the distance).
