Braze on down tube gear lever bosses

Post by esme1jack »

Cannot track anybody supplying these ? Could butcher a downtube gear lever clamp but would prefer a better engineered solution !

They do pop up now and again on ebay, if you're not in a hurry.

Ceeway will sell them, but postage is normally expensive if you want just a couple of parts.

Why not take a pair off a scrap frame?
........as you are looking for lever bosses, I'm assuming you have the gear to fit them........a blowtorch which will un-braze them will re-braze them

I agree, Colin's option is far easier and cheaper.

It's not difficult to make your own if you have a lathe.
Here's a link to another solution.
