Self sealing tubes

Post by reddevil1971 »

Hi all, I have new self sealing tubes but every time I put air in, the sealant gums up the valve so it leaks and I get a flat tyre, what am I doing wrong?

Park the wheel with the valve at "6 o'clock" to allow sealant to drain from the stem. Depress valve slightly to expel remaining gunge before attaching pump.

I figured there would be a way to do it, I always have the valve at 3 o'clock, so thanks for the help.

Slime is very thick so lower than 3 better so it drains.
