Spring has sprung, de grass is riz....

Post by SimonCelsa »

Took the bottle dyno off the Record Ace today, removed the studded 30mm marathon winters and fitted a pair of 28mm Duranos.

Felt like I had a 50mph tail wind!

It'll be even better tomorrow when I remove the 5 speed freewheel, derailleur, hub braked rear wheel and revert back to the Summer fixed gear.

It's so good when the clocks go forward!

Anyone else had any inspirations following the advance of clocks?

Our nephew and family live in Orkney, and they had snow this morning.

That looks like the lake I cycled through this morning on the way to Wellington! Thank goodness for discs

Reuse, recycle, thus do your bit to save the planet.... Get stuff at auctions, Dump, Charity Shops, Facebook Marketplace, Ebay, Car Boots. Choose an Old House, and a Banger ..... And cycle as often as you can......

I can't find the advert I want... 1960s-70s "Thank goodness for those new disc brakes"

A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

‘Never assume’ is the motto here.
The daffs have been out for ages and here we are, the day after spring has sprung, and I have woken to the first frost in weeks.
The older I get the more I’m inclined to act my shoe size, not my age.
