Forecast was for -4 but I don't think it went much below zero.
* In a garden admittedly to test some stuff, not in the wilds.

Was perfectly snug.
Do tell what you were testing.

snugpak scorpion 2 tent.
A snugpak sleeping bag that should be good to well below that temp but I suspect isn't
lifeventure thermal lining
snugpak paratex lining though I don't think this is claimed to add any warmth
vango 4 season sleep mat - cheap but again I suspect not as good as claimed.
karrimor Z-mat thing - cost me between a fiver and a tenner - can't remember exactly
snugpak sleeping hat.

Some good news, thanks!
Although I tend to stick to the Equinox (March 20th this year) as my marker. Perhaps you're more of a sky-half-light than sky-half-dark guy compared to me :P

I spent every Easter of my teenage years camping. Scouts at first and then climbing. My bag was kapok at first, but I was young and tough!
I particularly remember a trip to Glencoe. Coming down off the hill to a tent was a bit comfortless, and the Clachaig Hotel Bar was unheated.
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?
