You can get all sorts of recumbents!

I like that! plenty of ground clearance, though seat height might be a bit problematical if you're on the short side.

Of course there are trails and there are trails, but I tend to gravitate towards mild off road and I've coped quite well with the lengthy Linear and the Dawes Low Rider. The Low Rider came with some quite skinny tyres but I replaced them with 50mm Big Apples -not strictly off road tyres but they did the job, though getting to the limit on that frame. Cycle trails, some of the milder bridleways and better kept towpaths are all rideable on a recumbent as they are on any bike without getting into special tyres, clearances or geometry.

The Low Rider with Big Apples fitted.

Are you sure Professor Pat Pending didn't have a hand in building that linear?

I like the aerodynamic nose bag ! That's cool.

Part of the enjoyment of riding a 'bent must surely be weirding people out! Apart from not being able to take in what they are seeing, It's often hard to convince people that the reason you are riding it is because it rides so well, and not because you've escaped from the Circus.

I once came round the corner of a Welsh pub on my Bacchetta Giro to pass rapidly in front of a couple of old men on a bench with their pints.
"Iesu Duw", was all I heard. (Jesus God, pronounced. Issydoo)

It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

Ah! Funny you should mention that, but when I bought it, I had a similar thought, bit like 'caravan racing'.,''Articulated class''. :D

My RANS Stratus XP with a 700c back wheel, fast 28mm tyres, no mudguards, plastic tape fairing. It looks like a long legged gazelle and feels quick :D . Will have to wait for the Strava verdict.

Ah, I recognise it now - the Cantus. I misunderstood you and thought you had made it yourself!
