Easily get 6,000miles on the tyres on Mercian, but with Moulton, it's a different subject.
Tried Conti GP and the rear lasted only 1,200miles (£38.92 for the pair)
I replaced them with Conti Contact Sport, and the rear lasted much better at 2,000miles. (£42.10 for the pair)

I actually don't know.
Small wheels rotate faster per bicycle MPH than big wheels.
One rotation of a small wheel is less distance travelled than a big wheel.
Tyres are "stationary" on the tarmac at the bottom, and the top is double the speed of the actual bike.
Trouble is, a small wheel having less circumference, rotates faster, hence the rubber tyre wears more as there's less rubber per rev per mile.
So much is obvious of course, but weaving?
