Aiui there is a deal where there's a pay rise for a range of workers but the deal excludes the cleaners from the historical transport allowance payment that was maintained for just about every other worker that's part of the deal.
However the similar deal gmb insisted cleaners were included in the part where transport allowance payment was included. RMT let them drop it for cleaners, GMB held out to keep it for cleaners. A case of picking your union well gets better results I suppose. However GMB did criticise RMT over their treatment of cleaners within their union.
What's the issue RMT union has with it's own cleaners?

Have you any link for any of that? Other than the Telegraph.Tangled Metal wrote: ↑1 Jun 2023, 4:25pm Aiui there is a deal where there's a pay rise for a range of workers but the deal excludes the cleaners from the historical transport allowance payment that was maintained for just about every other worker that's part of the deal.

Isn't this story about GMB members who work for the RMT? If so, it wasn't a question of picking your union.
