The app is finished (version 1 at least) but it's currently waiting for Google to approve it!

Thanks Richard - I'll definitely be giving it a try once Google release it.Richard Fairhurst wrote: ↑3 Aug 2023, 9:34amThe app is finished (version 1 at least) but it's currently waiting for Google to approve it!

Update in cycle travel app for android
I just tried to download the app again but this time it's says it will download automatically when the app is available for android/Google phones
So maybe it's not too far away

It's been saying it'll be available in August for quite some time now. I'm hoping it will be in time for imminent 3 weeks in France...

Re: Cyclestreets on android?
I'm hoping it'll be this week. I have one particularly persistent bug I'd like to squash but other than that it's ready to go.

I had the C.T app installed automatically on my Android device last night.

Re: Cyclestreets on android?
Thanks for the heads-up. I've just downloaded it, but on my first play, it looks like it's got terminal problems - doesn't load a map and force-closes every time you try to do anything. Will have a further play and report back if I can get it back on its feet.
(Fantastic username by the way - providing the reference is to the radio show...)

Re: Cyclestreets on android?
A quiet public release for exactly that reason - there'll be teething problems to work out, especially with Android where there's a thousand different types of hardware and older operating system versions! I've tweaked a couple of things today based on the app logging and should have a 1.01 version live in a couple of hours.

Great - from the limited amount I'm able to see of the app's functionality, it will be a big improvement on anything else I've used.Richard Fairhurst wrote: ↑17 Sep 2023, 7:41pm A quiet public release for exactly that reason - there'll be teething problems to work out, especially with Android where there's a thousand different types of hardware and older operating system versions! Richard. First, congratulations for the app. It's been on the store earlier than anticipated and looks good so far.Richard Fairhurst wrote: ↑17 Sep 2023, 7:41pm A quiet public release for exactly that reason - there'll be teething problems to work out, especially with Android where there's a thousand different types of hardware and older operating system versions! f you could share a rough roadmap on CT's site, that could help avoid users coming back with questions or requests that are already in the pipeline (or planned). Should save you time to answer same questions.
