Tag along for two children

Post by Jmf »

I am working with a disabled male who wants to have his two children accompanying him on bike rides. Does anyone have any suggestions how this can be accomplished. Thanks

Welcome.

What sort of machine can he ride? And how old are the children?

Jonathan

PS: One of my children has a Pashley tandem trailer trike tagalong which hooks onto her tourer solo bike. Excellent.

If his disability doesn't preclude him riding a (more or less) conventional bike something like the Circe Helios can be built up as a triplet, e.g. Image

Part of this will depend on the children, i.e., how old and competent/confident they are. One or both of them may be able to ride independently. If one or both are at the pre-pedalling stage then a cargo bike/trike may be the way to. E-assist is a fairly common option these days, so you don't have to do all the work up hills yourself.

Pete.
