Thanks, I like the idea of a dropper system.

What you’re looking for is something like this which enables you to fix a braze-on front next to a folding bike:

if you can't get anything suitable to fit your bike directly, it is easy enough to 'sleeve down' a larger band (eg.the litepro one is 40mm I think).

I was a bit sceptical of using the litepro fitment because the force is applied at the end of a lever held by one screw.

No knowledge of seller or item, just a vague memory of RSX (mid 90s), seems to fit your description.
This looks like the best bet to me if clamp size is compatible as it is an actual road mech. Will hopefully work chainline/cable pull wise and also accommodate larger road size chainrings.
this may all fall down because RSX may have run a very MTB-eque chainline and from memory the big ring on an RSX triple is 46t.
Hi, just looked at an old RSX front bottom band mech I have. It’s stamped on the back of the inner plate , FD- A410, - Double 61o - 66o; Single 63o - 66o (degrees) The RSX Double big ring is 46t.

The single front mechs are reeeally reliable but tend to rub a little
