I’m probably just being a grumpy, ungrateful sort of chap who isn’t seeing the bigger picture, but spending what amounts to £1.50 per person in the country on this, against a background of total expenditure on roads of c£11bn/year, which I think amounts to £164 per person per year doesn’t strike me as fully proportionate.

Well Philip, the first thing would be to discover how this bounty is to be divided up around the nation states of the UK :roll: .
