Hi KM2 and apologies to AndyB1 if this is a genuine enquiry but the line "sorry, as I am new here I can not yet send you a PM" has previously indicated that this is a scam. The best way to avoid the scam it to only accept payment in cash.

From the Cycle Chat forum it sounds like you had some great trips. How was India roads like on the Linear?

Touring in India went well - but this was back in 1996. The bike easily carried my gear with rear panniers, washing drying on the rack and tools and heavy bits mounted at the front of the base tube. I met a couple of other riders on uprights who had been run off the road but an Indian told me that from behind my bike looked like a hand cranker that might be used by someone with no leg movement, and that might be why vehicles kept away from me!
The highlight was descending to the lower plains from Ooty. After sleeping in a room at the station I had taken a train ride up to the Ooty hill station (the steam train in ‘A Passage to India’) and a few days later rode back down on a fast twisty road where the handling of the bike was tested.
Earlier in the trip, South of Goa, my fitness was reasonable and I did a couple of 100 mile days along the National Highway with no discomfort. A great bike to tour on.
