Reduced! Spa Elan 54" steel tourer - top spec

Post by LucyF »

One of a kind, built by Spa for a review; see here for all specs and photos: https://www.bikeradar.com/reviews/bikes ... 725-review. Only done about 500 miles but is too big for me. Black bike with orange Hope components. 11-40 gearing gets you up any hills. Reduced to £900 but open to offers. Based in Hull, East Yorkshire.

Hi Ian, I'm really sorry but I don't. There's a fair amount of detail in the review (I posted the link) but that's the best I can do. Sorry again, Lucy.

If it helps, you may wish to know that I have an identical frame to this one, in size 54, and I find it extremely comfortable to ride.
By comparison I would normally ride a traditional road frame with a horizontal top tube of 57cm and 61cm seat tube.
The older I get the more I’m inclined to act my shoe size, not my age.

It's silky smooth to ride; if the reach were shorter I'd be keeping it for sure!

I have a Spa audax and the seat tube is very laid back,I use a inline seat post to reduce the reach.

Fitting a B17 (or other leather) saddle and/or a shorter stem will reduce the reach problem.
Usually riding a Spa Cycles Aubisque or a Rohloff-equipped Spa Cycles Elan Ti
