The One-Man Bike Jumble, Petersfield (Hampshire) Sunday 21 April

Post by Bez »

Time for a big clearout. I have bikes, components, accessories, clothes, you name it. Some old, some not so old, some shiny and new, some well used but still going strong. But posting stuff would take forever and a day and the postage would be worth more than half of these things, so I’m doing a car boot. The proceeds from most of the items will be donated to charity.

All of this (if I can get it in the car) will be at the Petersfield Carrr Boot (yes that is how it’s spelt) at The Avenue, this Sunday 8am-12pm. (Apologies for the short notice, I had thought it was next weekend.)

If any of the “Things over £20” are of interest then I may be willing and able to post at cost. Please drop me a reply here.

Prices are shown for things in the “Things over £20” section. Everything else will be £20 and under (only a handful of things will be over £10) and the money will go to charity, specifically St Mungo’s homelessness charity https://www.mungos.org . Most things will be just a pound or two and some things will be free if you buy other stuff. Of course, you are welcome to donate more, it’s a good cause. I can take cash and donate it on your behalf (you will have to trust me) or you can make an online donation on the day and just show me the payment confirmation on your phone. Please assume that everything is in working order and in used condition unless stated otherwise.

There is more stuff than is listed—I started itemising everything, then got overwhelmed, and I’m still going through it all.

If you represent a charity which builds or services bicycles for people in need, then please contact me and I would be happy to donate a lot of this stuff.

Would you consider shifting that into the over £20 category + postage?

Everything there is good with me. I’ll fish them out of the boxes tomorrow and set them aside.

All of these will become donations to St Mungos so you can either pay me and I’ll add it to whatever I get tomorrow, or pay them directly and send me confirmation. £20 and free postage for the Cyo Premium @gaz and the same for the Clickster @SimonCelsa though of course it’s a donation and I’m generally not shy about asking for money for a good cause so you’re free to pay more if you like 🙂

@echolalia The wheels are front and rear, yes. I think I have a box. I expect postage to be around £15 so if you want the wheels (inc tyres and tubes) and lights then £50 minimum donation? No mini Vs I’m afraid.

If you change your mind let me know, otherwise we can sort payment details in due course 👍

Thanks all

Hi, I’d be interested in the burrito bag if you don’t mind posting (Newcastle, hence not coming to the car boot!).

I do have some cantis… they’re mostly either crappy or a bit worn out though.

Cool. Can I suggest a fiver? If you can donate here and PM me a screenshot of the confirmation with your address I’ll get it posted when I get round to sending the other stuff out:

https://action.mungos.org/donate

EDIT: I should probably point out that the bag (a) is small, about the size of a school pencil case, and (b) is bright blue and pink. I suspect this may not be what you’re after, but I can get you a picture if you like.

Cheers 🙂

Are the SKS mudguards still available and how much? I'm in Waterlooville so could come collect.

They are, but they’re missing the bolts, they’re just the guards and the stays. I think I actually have a full set of bolts somewhere, so the only thing that might be missing is the bracket for the seatstay bridge—but with a small L-bracket and a drill you can end up with what is arguably an improvement on that anyway.

If they’re of use (I think they’re good for something up to 25-28mm tyres) then drop me a PM and I’ll try and find the bolts. Happy to deliver, I go past that way fairly frequently.

Cheers

Ah, thanks for clarifying the width/coverage of the guards. Probably narrower than I'd like. I'll think on it whilst giving others the chance.
